MPD Reports: Stolen vehicles, damage to property, domestic disputes and mental health issues

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 4 – 11, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Suspicious Person – E Spring St. Spring Street Laundry. In reference to a white male, wearing a yellow jacket and blue backpack. Complainant advised that they wanted the male criminally trespassed from the property. A criminal trespass warning was issued to the subject. 

Damage to Property on Breedlove Dr at Hampton Dr. In reference to the complainant advising that someone egged their vehicle. Complainant advised that there was no damage to their vehicle from the eggs and stated that they were going to go to the car wash. Complainant also advised that they did not see the individual(s) who threw the eggs at their vehicle as they were driving on Breedlove Dr. 

Stolen Vehicle – Maple Street. Complainant reported her Toyota Corrola stolen between 3-7-2021 and this date. Vehicle was added to GCIC and report made. 

Traffic Stop – E. Spring Street; Mr. Quik’s. A male subject was arrested for numerous felony narcotic charges, including trafficking narcotics, following a traffic stop for a brake light violation. 

Abandoned Vehicle – Unisia Dr. In reference to a abandoned flatbed trailer in the staging area of WalMart Distribution Center. Civil remedies were given. 

Assault law – W. Spring Street at Piedmont Walton. Staff called 911 in reference to possible abuse case. Report already filed in Newton County where the incident occurred. Suspect has warrant out of Conyers PD and is driving a Toyota Sienna (CPY 7397). 

Civil Issue – Edwards St. In reference to roommates disputing over property. Remedies were advised. All ok. 

Dispute – Tigers Way. In reference to the complainant advising that a female is attempting to get property from the location and no longer resides at the address. Options were advised due to civil issue. Report taken. 

Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St at N Wayne St. In reference to the complainant that they have been followed by an unknown vehicle with their bright lights on and honking their horn at the complainant. Negative contact with the unknown subject vehicle that was following closely behind the complainant. Complainant advised the vehicle went North onto Hwy 11. All ok. 

Suspicious Person – 1400 US 78. Waffle House. In reference to a black male wearing a white shirt and white shoes walking around the truck stop for over an hour per the complainant. Truck driver on location walking around, nothing further. 

Mental Patient – S Broad St. Hammock Park. In reference to the complainant having a mental episode. Turned over to EMS. 

Dispute – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to the complainant advising that they have been released from the hospital but are refusing to leave. Subject was advised to leave per staff request, all ok. 

Stolen Vehicle – Wheel House Lane. In reference to Enterprise Rental Car asking for the location checked for a 2019 Nissan Rogue (Indiana FL341AAQ) stolen out of Indiana. The location and surrounding area was checked with negative contact. When ran through GCIC, the vehicle did not return as stolen. 

Damage To Property – Creek View Ct: In reference to complainant stating that her back bedroom window is cracked. All okay 

Wanted Person – Morrow Street in reference to a subject on location. Subject has a violation of probation warrant out of Gwinnett CO. Gwinnett County would not except due to Covid-19. 

Theft Report – E Church St. In reference to complainant reporting her bicycle being stolen sometime between 1600 hrs on 3/9-3/10. Report taken. 

Dispute – Turner St. Complainant reporting a dispute with her son’s father. Physical violence accused by complainant. Warrants taken. 

Mental Subject – complainant at Creekview calling 911 for the 5th time this date. Upon officers’ arrival she would not open the door.
