MPD Reports: Subject kicks in police vehicle window after dispute call over cigarettes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following alerts for the period Feb. 15 – 21, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, Sherwood Dr., repo truck on scene and disputing with the vehicle owner. The owner was cited for disorderly conduct and the vehicle was repossessed without further incident.
  • Mental Health, Davis St., relative from an earlier call on location causing a disturbance. The relative was persuaded to go with the family who will take him to the hospital.
  • Welfare Check, South Broad St., Made contact with subject. He was in good health. The complainant said she will be here at this location until July of this year. All is 10-4
  • Suspicious vehicle, Hwy 78 WB; Black Chevy HHR failing to maintain its lane. The vehicle was stopped on N. Broad St./Highland Ave. The driver was ok and given directions to pick her daughter up at Ridgeview.
  • Meet With, Landers St., complainant requesting information regarding his children’s mother possibly giving the wrong medication while they are visiting her. Advised of remedies. Request information be put in the pass-on in reference to future incidents.
  • Suspicious Person, Lacy St./Harris St., Subject was stopped for riding a bicycle without a light. He was subsequently arrested for local Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrants for probation violation.
  • Fight, Maple St., caller stated two white males and two black males were fighting in the yard.  Officers had negative contact with a fight and spoke to people in the area.  They all advised that they did not see anything.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Tanglewood Dr., complainant stated kids keep kicking her door and running off.  Requested extra patrol.
  • Suspicious Person, Felker Park, two subjects on the scene dressed all black clothing with backpacks. Advised the park closes after dark.
  • Suspicious Person, Da-vita Dialysis, observed person walking around a closed business. James Donerson was detained for loitering. Search incident to arrest yielded tools for burglary. Fresh pry marks were observed on the door to a business. James was arrested for Possession of tools to commit burglary, criminal intent to commit burglary and loitering
  • Missing Person, Bay Willow Court, a male subject not seen or heard from since around 1300 hours. While on the scene, the subject made contact with family and advised he was ok.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., mother advised she was trying to sleep, and her daughter was arguing on the phone with her boyfriend.  Mother asked that I tell her daughter that she had to leave. I explained to her that this was a civil issue and she would need to go through the eviction process.
  • Kidnapping, complainant making allegations named female was taken by named male subject against her will. Made contact with a female who advised she was willingly going with the male subject and did not need law enforcement. All parties were advised to only contact law enforcement for actual kidnapping.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Pierce St., mother reporting her daughter returned home after running away. Situation mediated, the daughter was removed from GCIC as runaway.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., male and female subjects were having a dispute through the front door.  During the dispute, the male subject kicked in the front door causing damage to the door. He was taken into custody for criminal trespass.
  • Dispute, Green St., reference to Bendrick Kelly and another subject in a physical altercation. Kelly was arrested for Battery.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Lacy St., reference to Ricky Reynolds being arrested earlier. Complainant did not want Ricky’s bicycle on his property any longer. The bicycle was removed and stored in evidence for safekeeping.
  • Escort, South Broad St., complainant stated he was in route to pick up his 17-year-old daughter from his ex-wife.  He did not know if he needed an escort so the ex-wife could not say he took the daughter without permission.  It was explained to him that an Officer had been to the residence earlier this date and all was ok.
  • EMS assist, 4th St., subject going through withdrawals. She refused to go with EMS.
  • Meet With, Landers St., complainant requesting information regarding his children’s mother possibly giving the wrong medication while they are visiting her. Advised of remedies. Request information be put in the pass-on in reference to future incidents.
  • Dispute, Barron Dr., Two subjects were involved in a dispute over cigarettes and one having her boyfriend spend the night. She became irate with the officers and the other subject and walked outside in the roadway screaming profanities. She has mental health issues and could not be controlled or calmed down. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and during the arrest, she kicked out the side window of a patrol car. She was transported to Piedmont Walton where a medical evaluation order was signed. Warrants to be taken for disorderly conduct and interference with government property.
  • Harassing Phone Calls, Gatewood Dr., met with the complainant. He stated that a named subject keeps calling him. He wanted to do what his options are. The complainant was told the necessary steps to take.
  • Domestic Dispute, Davis St., complainant said he left $600 dollars in two boxes in the top drawer of his dresser last night before leaving. This morning $200 of the money is missing and he believes his ex-wife took it. The ex-wife said that she did not take it and the complainant had a friend over last night that could have. Complainant requested a report to file an eviction.
  • Welfare Check, Barron Dr., subject from earlier call probation officer called requesting a welfare check after subject called their office making what they stated were suicidal threats. The subject told Officers she did not make suicidal threats, was not suicidal and refused EMS treatment or a courtesy ride to Piedmont Walton.
  • Welfare Check, Perry St., Check on a female subject. Subject advised her electricity was cut off and she had no food or water. She was provided with food and water by the officers and FISH was contacted about the electricity.
  • Domestic Dispute, Carver Place, Complainant 11 yrs. old stated that her uncle put his hands on her. The uncle stated that he didn’t touch her. Parties Separated and the situation was mediated. Report Taken.
  • Harassment, Millstone Bluff, reference to a juvenile being harassed over social media. The incident occurred at Carver Middle School and WCSO was advised to be en route to handle the report.
  • Dispute, Highland Terrace, four subjects involved in a family altercation. One subject moved out of the residence while officers were on the scene. Report taken.
  • 911 Hang Up, New Lacy St., juvenile screamed on the phone and hung up. Contact made with juveniles and parents, parental responsibility ordinance explained. All ok at this time.
  • Fight, Maple St., an unknown caller stated White male and black male fighting in the street.  Parties on the scene advised they didn’t see any fights.
  • Traffic Stop, the driver was stopped for impeding the flow of traffic, a probable cause search resulted in finding a stolen firearm and less than one ounce of Marijuana.
  • Entering Auto, Pine Knoll, Michael Lawrence stated the alarm to his vehicle was going off.  He was unsure if someone was trying to break in. It was determined that the vehicle was unlocked, and the key fob was possibly hit to make the alarm go off.  It did not appear that anyone had messed with the vehicle.  All ok.
  • Dispute, New Lacy St., Made contact with the complainant who advised his girlfriend had been drinking and got upset. She grabbed him leaving scratches on his arm. She was gone when officers arrived. The complainant was advised of remedies. The girlfriend has a condition of bond placed against her. Report taken.
