MPD Reports: Sugar in the gas tank, juvenile complains mother hit him, suicide attempt

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 8 – 15, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile Complaint – Birch St.: A juvenile stated that his mother hit him for no reason. The mother was disciplining him. The situation was mediated.
  • Burglary in Progress – Creekside Way: Andrew Payton arrested for Burglary and Probation Violation.  Kelly Cason arrested for Probation Violation (Gwinnett SO) but was transported by EMS to Piedmont Walton. Gwinnett advised to release the detained, so Cason was released from custody. Payton was taken to Walton County Sheriffs’ Office.
  • Suicide Attempt – W. Spring St. Suicide attempt by a male who drank chemicals.  Turned over to EMS.
  • Theft – Tire Depot. reference to a customer driving off without paying for tires, the customer showed back up and paid for said tires.
  • Violation of Court Order – Tanglewood Dr. – In reference to a subject being on location in violation of bond. The subject was arrested and charged with violation of family violence order.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): In reference to a lady running out of the store with merchandise. The suspect left in a 2004 Lincoln Aviator traveling towards Burger King and Home Depot. Report Taken.
  • Damage to Property – Rose Wood Ln.  Complainant reporting that he suspects that an individual is putting sugar in his gas tank.  An extra patrol has been requested at this residence.  The suspect may drive a silver Honda.
  • Damage to Property – Boys and Girls Club.  Complainant reporting that a former employee attempted to damage some windows by throwing rocks.
  • Dispute – Tangle Wood Dr. this was a follow up from the earlier call where an Officer made an arrest.  They were referred to the Magistrate Court
  • Disturbing the Peace – Magnolia Ter. – In reference to neighbors beating on the wall.
  • Agency Assist – Brookland Ct..  DFACS requested Officer stand by while she interviewed a family in reference to a sexual assault.  A report was requested.
  • Dispute – Etten Dr. Complainant disputing with neighbors. Both parties advised to stay in their own yard and to not have contact with each other.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Birch Street.  The complainant stated multiple juveniles were playing in her back yard.  She stated they keep coming over and playing and they are going to hurt themselves.  They do not live in the complex and she does not want them in her yard.  Officer patrolled the area and had negative contact with the juveniles.  The complainant was advised to call the Police next time they are in her yard before making contact with them.
