MPD Reports: Suicide attempts, aggravated battery and domestic disputes over sleeping pills, a tree and more

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damage to Property, Highland Creek, reference to neighborhood signs being damaged. Report taken.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart a subject took a buggy full out of items out of the store. Left in a Maroon Honda Accord. Report made.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., WalMart. Wal-Mart declined to prosecute. Criminal Trespass Warning was issued to the female subject for 2 years Per. WalMart Loss Prevention.
  • Domestic Dispute, Custom Way, male and female subjects were involved in a domestic dispute.  During the dispute, the female threw a milk crate at the window of male’s residence causing it to shatter. Female was GOA.  A warrant was secured for the female.
  • Dispute, Walker Drive. Domestic dispute between two subjects. Report taken
  • Narcotics, Hammond Park, Caller advised subjects were smoking marijuana by the pavilion.  Officers made contact with subjects.  There was an odor of marijuana, but none was located.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St., caller advised a female was on location with narcotics in the vehicle.
  • Civil Issue, Fawnfield Dr., complainant stated he gave named female subject $300 to stay at the residence.  The female subject stated he gave her money to keep some belongings in the drive.  Both parties were advised this is a civil issue and explained the court process.  Officer stood by while complainant got his belongings from the garage.
  • Agency Assist, East Spring St., reference to Oconee county attempting to locate a runaway juvenile.
  • Dispute, King St., made contact with the complainant who advised her mom called for no reason because her boyfriend was asking for the key to her mother’s house, so he could get in the morning. ALL ok.
  • Fight, Nowell St., an anonymous caller stated numerous males and females in an active fight. The incident occurred on West Marable. Named male subject struck another named male subject with a baseball bat. WTBT by the officer for Aggravated Battery.
  • Follow Up from above call, Nowell St., reference to Nicolas Booker walking in the area. Contact made with Booker he was arrested for Aggravated Battery without incident.
  • Agency Assist, Walton Press, reference to Barrow County Sheriff’s Office requesting to check the area in reference to a wanted subject on location. Negative contact.
  • Dispute, Ash Lane, complainant advised someone stole his sleeping medication.  When he went to sleep he had approximately twenty pills remaining and when he woke up all the pills were missing.  A female subject was questioned, and she stated complainant took all the pills.  Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Pannell Road/East Vine St., reference a red truck almost causing a collision.  Red truck GOA towards Cowpens’s.  All parties in other vehicle were ok.
  • Dispute, Atha St., neighbors arguing over a tree. Advised that is was a Civil Matter. mediated. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Ridge Rd., reference to a white male knocking on the complainant’s door and screaming. Negative contact with the male subject.
  • Damage to Property, Tanglewood Dr., complainant notice this morning that something hit the front of her vehicle.  She is unsure when or where the damage came from.  Complainant requested a report.
  • Civil Issue, Mobley Circle, the complainant advised she wanted to get some things from her old house where she had been evicted of. All the property of the house was already cleaned out all ok.
  • Dispute, Perry St., reference to mother and her son in a dispute. The son was taken to Piedmont Walton for a mental evaluation. Report taken
  • Burglary in Progress, Reed St., the anonymous complainant stated a vehicle parked in the driveway and saw flashlights. Contact made with a female subject who stated she is homeless and parked there to sort her clothing. The residence is vacant with nothing of value inside; The residence is unsecured with numerous doors and windows that were broken. Female was advised to stay away from vacant residences.
  • Civil Issue, Barron Dr., complainant wanted to speak to officers about her son who keeps driving her vehicle. Remedies advised
  • Warrant Service, Pine Park St., reference to a male subject having an active warrant from Barrow County. Contact made with a female subject who denied consent to search. Report taken
  • Suicide Attempt, South Broad St., the female subject took an unknown number of pills after drinking with a male subject this evening.  Transported to Piedmont Walton for an evaluation.
  • Suicide Attempt, South Side Mobile Home Park, male subject from above call took 10 Alphametizne pills and was transported to Piedmont Walton for an evaluation.
  • Suspicious Person, a female subject was walking in the area of South Broad St./John’s Supermarket.  Female appeared to be off.  During the course of speaking to her, it was found that she lives on Blasingame Road.  She was transported home by an officer.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to complainant observing named male subject shoplifting. Male subject ran from the store and was located on Mountain View Drive; he was transported to Walmart. There was no video footage of the theft nor was anything found on his person. The male subject was released and issued a criminal trespass warning per complainant’s request. Report taken.
