MPD Reports: Suicide threat by 16-year-old, alleged drug arrests, missing package and domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for Jan. 2 – 9, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Theft Report) Bridgeport Ln. In reference to the complainant reporting her $400.00 check stolen from her mail box. Report taken. 
  • EMS Assist – Plaza Trace., Highland Village Apartments. In reference to a 27-year-old female intoxicated and vomiting. Turned over to EMS.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hammond Park. In reference to two subjects in a vehicle. Subjects were advised of the park hours and left the area.
  • Fight – N. Broad St., Da Grand Bar & Grill. In reference to a large crowd actively fighting. The crowd was disbursed. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop – at Hwy 78WB and Hwy 11 exit. Vehicle stopped for a headlight violation. Jessica Lyn Baker arrested for Possession LSD, Possession Cocaine, Possession Heroin, Possession THC oil X3, Possession of marijuana, Possession drug-related objects, and a headlight violation. Eric Christenson arrested for Possession LSD, Possession Cocaine, Possession Heroin, Possession TCH oil X3, Possession of marijuana, and Possession drug-related objects. Vehicle impounded by Taylors and pending seizure.
  • Request to meet – W. Spring St., Elite Storage. Ref to logging right of way vehicles blocking business. Complainant advised persons working for the Haven Inn were on Elite Storages property cutting trees. The subjects were advised to clean up and leave. All okay.
  • Dispute – at Lawrence and Mears St. Reference to a couple in a dispute in the area. Complainant lost contact at 5th Street and the railroad tracks. An area check was conducted with negative contact.
  • Theft Report – Heritage Ridge Dr. Subject advised he had a package missing that was delivered on December 28, 2019. Report taken.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad Street – Monroe PD. Missing person, the subject, was located in Sturgis, SD. Spoke with Sturgis PD who stated the subject was okay. He was removed from GCIC. Supplemental added.
  • Agency assist – S. Madison and 5th St. Georgia State Patrol requesting assistance with vehicle search, all ok.
  • Suicide Threats – Fawnfield Dr. In reference to a 16-year-old threatening to kill herself with a knife. Her parents are transporting her to Piedmont Walton for a mental evaluation. Report taken.
  • Drug Activity – N. Broad St., J&B Food Mart. In reference to a burgundy GMC Yukon being on location occupied by a named subject named. Officers made contact with the driver. She named the owner of the vehicle and advised she had dropped him off at the gas station. He was no longer on location. A probable search of the vehicle was conducted based on the odor of marijuana. There was an open container of alcohol in the cupholder. The driver was issued a citation for the open container and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver. Report taken.
