The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 21 – 28, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suicide threats – West Spring St., Home Depot. Third party report of a subject on location making suicidal threats. Contact was made with subject who was recently discharged from Piedmont Walton. Subject not suicidal or making threats, he was transported to a friend’s house, all ok.
Theft report – Davis St. Ref to Complainant advising his residence was burglarized between 04:30-11:00 hours. Evidence of forced entry was observed by officer. Complainant advised a total value of $919.00 was taking. Report taken.
Entering auto – Complainant reported that someone had entered her vehicle sometime over the weekend.
Suspicious Person – East Spring St., Taylor’s. Subject on location after sleeping in bathroom overnight. Subject is supposed to be leaving on a bus. Patrol requested at night of bathrooms to ensure subject leaves.
Fight – North Broad St., Waffle House. Ref to 10 to 15 b/m’s fighting between the Waffle House and the Post Office. Subjects on location advised they were not fighting. Subjects were sent on their way per staff at Waffle House. No evidence of a fight occurring seen.
Dispute – Magnolia Ter. In reference to an ex who has been barred from the residence per the complainant and keeps coming back. Report taken for documentation per complainant request.
Dispute – Gatewood Dr. In reference to the complainant’s mother and father physically fighting per the complainant. Parties were separated.
Dispute – Gatewood Way. In reference to a verbal dispute with the complainant’s wife. Remedies were advised to the complainant’s wife wanting to seek help for her husband’s mental instability. All ok.
Suspicious Person – E Spring St. Taylor’s. In reference to the staff stating that the female is back on location from earlier this date and is wanting the female removed from the property. Female was advised to stay away from the property.
Dispute – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to a male subject wearing a gray shirt causing a disturbance out front. Subject was on location intoxicated and upset; attempts to get him treatment were unsuccessful due to his attitude. Nothing further.
Dispute – Breedlove Dr. Ridgeview. In reference to a male patient being aggressive towards staff. Staff advised that there are no available beds for the patient. Patient left location without incident.
Suicide Threats – Ford St. In reference to a subject. Contact was made. Subject stated that he did not wish to harm himself he was only trying to get attention from his girlfriend.
Suicide threats – East Spring St., Monroe Motor Inn. Subject called her mother requesting a ride to the hospital. Subject stated she was okay and did not want a ride from officers.
Damage to property – East Spring St., Mr. Quicks. Ref to damage to an air compressor.
Agency Assist – Oak Rdg. MCCD Ofc. Ross requesting a warrant attempt at this address for a subject that fled a traffic stop. Consent given to search the residence for Robert Bogel with negative contact.
Dispute – North Madison Ave., The Market. Report of Emily Hales on location, refusing to leave. Emily was served with a criminal trespass notice.
