MPD Reports: Teenage girls fight over a boy and a slew of domestic disputes; suspect accused of stealing mail flees, crashes and the flees on foot

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb 27 to March 5, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Suspicious Person – St. Ives – In reference to a male on location walking through yards and behaving peculiarly. All okay.
• Welfare check – Arby’s. – In reference to named female subject inside of the store loitering and intoxicated. She was placed under arrest for loitering, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana less than one ounce. She was transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
• Dispute – E. Church St – In reference to subjects asking for free food, Subjects were gone when officers arrived.
• Alarm – Westridge Ave. All windows and doors were secured, all appeared ok.
• Suspicious vehicle – Monroe Jersey Road at Criswell Road DOT Monroe – In reference to a passenger car failing to maintain lane. Area checked, negative contact made.
• Dispute – Harris St – In reference to the complainant advising her husband and son were throwing items and arguing with her. Upon arrival, no items or possessions within the residence appeared to be damaged and no sufficient evidence of an altercation were present. Both parties agreed to separate for the night and complainant was picked up by a family friend. Remedies were advised.
• Dispute call – S Broad St; SSMHP – In reference to two subjects having an altercation, in which one had drawn an inoperable pellet gun. All parties were spoken to and due to conflicting stories, there was insufficient probable cause to arrest anyone. Remedies were advised to all parties at the residence.
• Injured Deer – on McDaniel Street.
• EMS Assist – Davis St – In reference to the complainant advising a male subject fell in the yard and was possibly intoxicated. Contact was made with Subject who was checked by EMS but denied medical treatment. A family friend allowed Subject to stay at their residence.
• Traffic stop/Arrest – Michael Etchison at McDaniel St – subject arrested for driving on suspended following a traffic stop for speeding. Fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.
• Dispute call – King St. – In reference to two teenage females fighting over a boy. Both girls were educated on the crime of affray and released to their mothers. Report taken.
• Dispute – Michael Circle -In reference to subject on the listed location verbally threatening to fight everyone before exiting the residence. Minutes later, subject was located on the sidewalk bleeding profusely from his nose and eyes. Responding officers rendered care to subject before he was turned over to EMS. Complainants denied pressing charges.
• Mechanical Breakdown – Hwy 78W exit, Hwy 138- In reference to the complainant’s vehicle breaking down in the roadway. The vehicle was moved out of the
roadway.
• Suspicious Person – E Church St; Chestnut Cupboard – In reference to the complainant advising of a male wearing dark clothing walking in and out of the store multiple times. The complainant wanted the subject criminally trespassed but negative contact was made.
• 10-50 – HWY 11 N / Golden Pantry; In reference to a single-vehicle accident with a deer.
• Dispute – Aycock Ave; Apt 7210 – In reference to the complainant advising of the room above him being loud and a possible dispute. A group of subjects were observed on the stairs dispersing upon Officers arrival and negative contact was made.
• Vehicle Accident – Hwy 11 N / Charlotte Rowell; In reference to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. See GEARS report.
• Hit and Run – N Broad St & Spring St – In reference to the complainant advising of a black or dark in color jeep striking the rear left bumper of her vehicle. Minor damage was observed and no injuries were claimed. GEARS report completed.
• Dispute – Cook Pl- In reference to a named subject getting into a dispute with his sister outside of the residence. He was placed under arrest for Public intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. He was unable to be booked into the WCSO due to his blood sugar levels. He was taken to the Piedmont Walton hospital where he was released on citation and admitted into the ICU.
• Dispute – Tanglewood Dr – Over mail. Situation mediated.
• Threats – Carmichaels – In reference to complainant wanting a report done for her ex-boyfriend posting explicit photos of her online without consent. Report taken and remedies advised.
• Juvenile Problem – Your Pie – In reference to a juvenile coming in and asking for water, then taking soda instead. The juvenile was gone when officers arrived, remedies advised.
• Disturbance – Landers St – In reference to a large crowd in the roadway. Negative contact.
• Accident with Pedestrian/Dispute – Springer Ln – In reference to the complainant advising someone backed into his hand. He was not on location nor gave his location to dispatch. The area of Springer Ln. and N. Madison Ave. was checked but negative contact was made.
• Other Law – Ridgeview – In reference to an unknown complainant requesting a welfare check on her daughter, since she heard vulgar words from staff while she was on the phone with her daughter. Remedies advised.
• Prisoner Pickup – Clayton County Jail – In reference to picking up a prisoner and transporting him to the WCSO jail on an MPD warrant with no issue.
• Agency Assist/ Vehicle Pursuit – Hwy 78E at W Spring St Exit – In reference to a BOLO for WCSO of a gray passenger car in which the driver stole multiple residents’ mail in the county. WCSO located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver fled in the vehicle and crashed out at the Jax apartments and bush bonded. Mail and a loaded firearm were located throughout the vehicle. K-9 was deployed and had negative contact with the suspect. Turned over to WCSO.
• Warrant Service – Aycock Ave, The Jax Apartments- In reference to locating a named subject who matched the physical description and clothing description of the fleeing suspect from previous call. It was determined that he was not the fleeing suspect however he did have an active arrest warrant. He was placed under arrest and transported to the WCSO without incident.
• 911 Hang up – E Highland – Static on the line. All Ok on location.
• Dispute – Harris St. – In reference to complainant stating her son had pushed her and threatened her with a BB gun and a knife. The son was not on location upon Officer arrival. Due to insufficient evidence to support probable cause, no action was taken.
• Welfare Check – E Church St.; Amici – In reference to a female subject possibly requiring medical attention. The subject was okay, and was given a courtesy ride to her residence.
• Scam – South Broad Street – In reference to an unknown male stating he worked for WCSO. It was determined to be a scam call. Remedies advised.
• Civil Issue – Mobley Cir. – In reference to complainant wishing to retrieve his belongings. His mother was upset that he intended to sell his vehicle (which she had paid for) to pay off his probation before moving out of state. It was explained that, as the vehicle was solely in his name, he could sell it if he wished. Complainant retrieved his belongings and left without incident.
• Traffic Light – Charlotte Rowel Blvd / Pavilion Pkwy- In reference to the caller stating the light was not functioning properly. Traffic light was working properly.
• Suspicious Vehicle – N Broad & Spring St- No contact
• Vehicle Lockout – Murphy’s- unlocked, no damage
• Suspicious Vehicle – MLK Jr. Blvd – In reference to a passenger car that almost ran complainant off the road. Officer patrolled the area and had negative contact.
• Residential Fire – Perry Street – In reference to rear of residence fully involved.
• Accident – N Broad & 78 E off ramp- 2 Vehicle accident. GEARS report completed.
• Alarm – S Broad- All appears okay, no contact.
• Hit and Run – E Spring St/S Madison Ave- In reference to a Mercury Mariner striking the victim’s vehicle and fleeing the scene on South Madison Avenue. No injuries, vehicle BOLO given to WCSO.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Cherry Hill Rd – Charger speeding and changing lanes. An area check was conducted, but the vehicle was not located.
• Traffic Stop/Arrest – Wayne St; McDaniel St – In reference to a named subject driving on a suspended license. He was transported to the Monroe Police Department and released on a copy of the citation.
• Assault – W. Spring St; Piedmont Walton- Subject claiming her son had assaulted her. Subject has a history of mental health issues. A report had already been made, citing no probable cause for any further action.
• Other Law – Bakers St. – A mother and daughter were having a dispute with each other, and both parties stated that they had hit each other. No visual marks were observed, nor any injuries. The mother stated that the argument started because she asked the daughter for a phone charger, and the daughter was not moving fast enough. The daughter stated that the mother hit her in the face with a phone; no marks were found. The mother wanted the daughter to be taken to a mental facility. It was advised to her on remedies of how she could try and have her admitted on a 10- 13. The parties were advised to separate in different areas of the residence.
