The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 25 – 31, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suspicious Vehicle – S Madison; Felker Park in reference to subject being in the park after hours.
Child Custody – W Spring St in reference to subject not receiving his child from her mother, report taken.
Suspicious Vehicle – E Marable Juveniles on location after hours. They were sent on their way.
Damage to Property – Hwy 78; Walton Truck Stop in reference to subject breaking the passenger side window to victim’s tractor trailer truck. Female subject was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property/ family violence. Warrants taken
Dispute – South Madison Avenue. Two parties having a verbal argument. Remedies advised.
Dispute – Ash St. Reference to a subject forcing entry into victims’ residence and assaulting victim. The subject was arrested for active warrants out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Warrants for home invasion, battery fv, interfering with 911 call, and criminal trespass.
Threats – S Madison Ave in reference to complainant hearing from a third party that someone was going to shoot up her house, report taken.
Dispute – Southside Park. Residence / area checked. negative contact.
Traffic Offense -S Broad St & McDaniel St.: Reference to a Silver Chevrolet Truck stopped for a non- functioning brake light. Further investigation led to the arrest of a subject for Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Drug related Objects, Possession of Firearm during commission of Felony and a second subject for Possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects.
Juvenile Complaint – Highland Creek Dr. Subject on location intoxicated. His foster parents were advised of remedies.
Dispute – Hill Street: Complainant stated he had some guests from Atlanta get in to an argument. The parties left prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
Dispute – West Spring Street. -Two parties verbally disputing over cigarettes
Damage To Property – East Spring Street (Spring Street Laundry): In reference to a patron damaging the covers to 4 dryers. Suspect was identified. Report taken
Theft – South Broad Street -Complainant called in reference to his winch stolen from his trailer. Report taken.
Dispute – West Spring Street (Haven Inn & Suites); In reference to a patron causing a disturbance due to not being on the account. Situation mediated.
