MPD Reports: Traffic stops results in two arrests for alleged drug trafficking; complaint of neighbor knocking on wall

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 28 to Feb. 4, 2021. Due to the length, the report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please not an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Suspicious Vehicle/ Traffic Stop -at Monroe Estates. Captain observed a vehicle with a suspended registration. Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The passenger, Tyler Moussi, fled the stop on foot. After a brief foot chase he was taken into custody. While running the subject threw ten bags of methamphetamine. The approximate weight of the meth is 11 ounces. After the investigation Moussi was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a schedule IV, obstruction and tampering with evidence. The driver, Daryl Oldham, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, suspended registration, possession of a schedule III and pills not in original container. 

Disturbing the Peace – Tanglewood Dr In reference to the neighbor at apartment causing a disturbance. Complainant advised it’s an ongoing issue. Negative contact with the resident in other apartment. 

Suspicious Person – Russell Dr. Hammond Park. Subjects on location were advised of park hours, all ok. 

EMS Assist – Baron Dr. In reference to a 47-year-old female intoxicated and having difficulty breathing. Turned over to EMS. 

Disturbing the Peace – Tanglewood Dr In reference to a male that lives at the address, who is banging on the wall per the complainant. Negative contact at the residence. 

Dispute – West Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Triage nurse requesting PD 10-18 for a dispute in the ER lobby. Issue stemmed from a mental health episode in the county. Subject left on location for a mental health evaluation. 

Suspicious person – South Broad St., Johns Supermarket. Ref to a b/m walking around the store, employees advised that he had shoplifted earlier this date. The subject had 3 warrants from 3 different agencies none of which wanted a hold placed. He was barred from the store by employee request. 

Suspicious Person – S Broad St. Johns Supermarket. In reference to subjects in the parking lot knocking on car windows. Subject was gone when officers arrived. 

Dispute – Davis St at Page St. in reference to a verbal dispute between two parties. Situation mediated. 

Traffic Stop – Harris St at Lacy St. Female subject was stopped for high beams, Arrested for active warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office. 

Traffic Stop – Ridge Rd. Skyline Trace Apartments. Officer had knowledge that a female subject had an active warrant out of WCSO. Officer observed her in the passenger seat. She was taken into custody and transported to Walton County Jail. 

Dispute – Rose Ison Ter. In reference to the complainant advising that a male is now refusing to leave the residence after being invited over by the complainant. Subject left the residence without incident after gathering his belongings. All ok. 

Suspicious Person – N Broad St. Deer Acres. In reference to the complainant advising that a black male knocked on their door asking for a JJ subject. Complainant advised the subject was gone prior to officer arrival.
