MPD Reports: ‘Unclothed’ man says he removed pants because of large spider in them

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 27 – July 3, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Soliciting – W. Spring St. – In reference to selling items in parking lot. Spoke with parties and advised of ordinances.
  • Suspicious Person – Cook Place:  Reference male unclothed in the area. Made contact with subject who said he had a large spider in his pants and that’s why he took his pants off.  subject said he was going to visit a cousin but had an empty pill bottle on his person.
  • Domestic – New Lacy Street:  Complainant upset because she’s disabled and hungry. She lives with her grandma who was taking her mom to get her a biscuit. All ok.  Report taken.
  • Juvenile Problem – Meadow Walk Dr:  Complainant upset because she was told by her 6-year-old son’s father that her son inappropriately touched another kid similar age to him.  Due to court paperwork, the son left with complainant.  Spoke to the son who said he was trying to get a flashlight from his friend and accidentally touched him.
  • Welfare Check – Pine Park Street:  Newton Co DFACS wanting a check on infant and a toddler. Attempted to make contact with a subject who is in Conyers and will possibly be back Monday.
  • Wanted Person – Walker Dr. in reference to Donald Kelley possibly being on location.  Mr. Kelley had an active warrant out of Walton County for simple battery.  Mr. Kelley’s sister stated he had just left and would possibly be at a residence on W. 5th St.  Mr. Kelley was located at  W. 5th St. and taken into custody.
  • Damage to property – Old Mill Point; Complainant reported unknown juveniles dented his vehicle while playing football in the road Thursday night at approximately 8 PM.
  • Dispute – Roosevelt St.  Two subjects were involved in a verbal dispute due to Ms. Robinson not being able to go to the store due to vehicle issues.  Remedies were given to parties on scene.
  • Theft – Sporty Ln. Complainant stated that her cell phone was stolen and that she had tracked it to this location. Phone was not on location and report taken.
  • Drugs – Walgreens; Officer’s contacted Charles Davis inside the store after he turned into the parking lot to avoid being pulled over. Charles was arrested for an outstanding parole violation warrant as well as possession of methamphetamine.
  • Follow up – Tall Oaks E. Complainant stated that her phone was in the woods on Sporty Ln, she wanted Officers to search the woods.
  • Dispute – Green St at Perry St. Subject disputing with his girlfriend over relationship problems. girlfriend requested a report then went to her house in Athens.
  • Suspicious Person – Piedmont Walton.  Medical staff stated a male was on location that was being violent and would not leave after being discharged.  Contact was made with subject who was in the lobby.  He advised that he was needing paperwork in order to be able to go to Ridgeview.  Subject was given a courtesy ride to Ridgeview.
  • Crowd Control – Golden Pantry.  Clerk called in reference to large crowd in parking lot that formed after Da Grand closed.  Vehicles were blocking the parking lot causing employees as well as customers to not be able to park.  Crowd was dispersed.  Manager on location stated she would like the store to be shut down on Saturdays when Da Grand closes.
  • Dispute – Plaza Dr. Dominique Scruggs was struck by her child’s father Adrian Brown. Adrian was arrested for Battery.
  • Stolen Vehicle – Tall Oaks W. – Subject stated her vehicle was stolen after 0100 hours from the driveway.  While on scene Walton County made contact with the vehicle.  It was determined that the vehicle was repossessed.  Proper paperwork for the repossession was shown to Officer.
  • Damage to property – Spring St @ Broad St; Complainant initially reported he was involved in a hit and run accident where another vehicle rear ended his vehicle and pushed him into the curb. Investigation revealed that he was not struck by another vehicle and had ran off the road striking an unknown object somewhere between Jonesboro and this location.
  • Unknown Problem – Green Street.  Complainant stated that someone was attempting to kill him.  During the course of the investigation it was found that complainant suffers from a mental disorder and has not been taking his medicine.
  • Complainant was suffering from a mental episode and was taken by EMS to Piedmont Walton.
  • Runaway – Birch St:  Subject said to have returned home around 11:15pm but left again. Subject took $60 from 7-year-old brother and left the residence again.  Contacted juvenile who advised to have person contact their office first thing Monday morning.  When subject is located, he will be fingerprinted on the felony charge from Friday.   • Animal Complaint – S. Madison Ave. – In reference to subject being bitten by dog on Landers St. Turned over to Animal Control.
