MPD Reports: Vehicle drops off Highway 78 onto Marable Street after possible medical emergency

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 10 – 17, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic Stop -N. Broad St. x W. Spring St. in reference to a vehicle turning left onto N. Broad St. from W. Spring St. which left turns are prohibited. The driver refused to stop and attempted to evade the police. Scott Everett was arrested. Report made. 
  • Burglary – Carver Pl. – In reference to complainant coming home to back door open and box with money missing. No forced entry.
  • Theft – G W Carver Cir: Complainant stated that her son’s basketball was taken and she was threatened to have bodily damage done to her by one of the unknown suspects. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Davis – In reference to two subjects disputing over the fence between yards.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Carver Pl. in reference to the complainant being tired of juveniles from Perry street around her house
  • Warrant Attempt – S. Broad St. in reference to Travis Byron on location. Attempted to set up a perimeter and approach the subject. Foot Chase ensued and Travis got through the perimeter. K9 called in and track attempted with Ofc. Palmer. Travis Byron was not located.
  • Damage to Property – E. Marable St. – In reference to someone spray painting the playground. report and pictures taken.
  • Missing Person – MPD – In reference to complainant reporting that his 79-year-old wife went missing on 10/14/20019 between the hours of 1400 and 1800hrs. A neighbor reported seeing 2 white females and a white male come to the residents and leave with the wife. The wife suffers from dementia. Criminal Investigation Division notified.
  • Wanted Person – Conestoga – In reference to ” Robert” Travis Byron seen on location several trailers were searched. Negative contact was made.
  • Dispute – S. Madison Ave. in reference to the subject not having access to the residence that he’s been staying at with his girlfriend. The girlfriend was not on location during this call. The subject was advised of his remedies.
  • Suspicious Person – Blaine St.- In reference to Jonathan Bowman being on location attempting to see his daughter who does not want to speak with him. He and Dana Bowman issued criminal trespass warnings.
  • Counterfeit – E. Church St.: Complainant advised a black male with blue jacket and green pants tried to pass the counterfeit 100-dollar bill. Report Taken.
  • Meet with – W. Spring St. A woman stated that her mother had just passed away a few days ago. Her mother lived in Columbus, and she believes she has an audio clip of her mother begin choked and beaten by the father. She was referred to Columbus PD
  • Foot Chase – S. Broad St. Travis Byron on location with felony warrants. Upon arrival, he fled on foot. K9 was unavailable. Area checked with no contact.
  • Entering Auto – E. Church St. in reference to the complainant having her 1998 Jeep Wrangler entered during the night hours and the radio stolen from inside.
  • Vehicle accident – Highway 78 EB and E. Spring St. bridge. Ref to a commercial bucket truck eastbound crossing median and overturning into westbound traffic. GSP and MCCD unavailable.
  • Entering auto – Edwards St. in reference to complainant having items taken out of his vehicle during the night.
  • Theft report/follow up – Custom Way in reference to the complainant having her bag taken out of her vehicle while she was incarcerated. The bag was found to be with her mother.
  • Vehicle accident with injuries and roadway blockage – Vehicle traveling eastbound on HW78 left roadway and fell between the Marable St. bridges onto Marable St. Driver suffering a possible heart attack. Turned over to GSP. Vehicle removed by Woods towing.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St., Wal-Mart. Juvenile shoplifter refusing to cooperate with loss prevention. Juvenile Turned over to guardian.
  • Vehicle accident – HW78 W. exit and Charlotte Rowell. Ref to tree from tree removal company doing right of way work falling on moving vehicle. Turned over to GSP.
  • Entering auto – Glen Iris Dr. Two pair of sunglasses taken. Extra patrol requested. Report declined.
  • Entering Auto – Edwards St. – Complainant reported various items taken from his vehicle overnight.
  • Intoxicated Person – Ford St. – Subject on location, intoxicated and cussing at neighbors. He was advised to go inside and leave his neighbors alone.
  • Damage to Property – W. Spring St.; Dollar Tree – complainant claimed people were constantly messing with her vehicle. No physical evidence to support this and complainant appears to be suffering from mental health issues.
