MPD Reports: Victim stabbed in his driveway; dogs kept in small crates taken by Animal Control

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 23 – 30, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This. is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Burglary attempt – Mears St. Subject arrested for criminal trespass after breaking the rear door of a residence in an attempt to enter. 
  • Agency assist – Lacy St. SRO from Carver Middle School requests contact with subject who sent her sister to school after she was suspended. Contact made with Grandmother. All ok.
  • Dispute – Radford St. Verbal dispute between two brothers. Juvenile advised he did not want to go to school. Juvenile went back into his home with no issue and will wait on the school bus for pick up at 14:32 hours.
  • Found property – Milledge Ave., Ideal Medical. The caller advised a bicycle had been on location for about a week. No serial numbers could be located, caller took the bicycle to FISH.
  • Welfare check – HW78EB and Edmonson Rd. Ref to American flag being flown upside down. Homeowners on location advised all was ok.
  • Animal Complaint – Pine Park St. near cemetery. Met with animal control in reference to several dogs in small crates at Pine Park St. The canines were turned over to Animal Control.
  • Stalking – S. Broad St., MPD. Complaint advised that she made a report on 24 January 2020 in reference to a subject who has been following her around the city and threatening through text messaging her. The complainant was advised to get a TPO and to block the subject on her phone. Supplemental added to the original case.
  • Traffic stop – S. Madison Ave. and Mill St. Subject arrested for driving on suspended license.
  • Theft report – E. Church St., Jack Peters. Complainant advised that a subject stole her car part from her car that he helped pay for. Complainant was advised that it is a civil matter.
  • Assault – W. Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Complainant advised he was in his drive way when he got stabbed, and the suspect took off running on foot towards 6th St. Report taken. Criminal Investigation Division responded.
  • Dispute – S. Hammond Dr. Complainant stated his father bit him last night during an altercation somewhere on Green St. Individual from Juvenile was on location, a report will be sent to DFACS, no witnesses, injuries appeared old.
  • Missing person – Bridgeport Pl. 15-year-old left last night angry after a cell phone was taken as a punishment. Juvenile compliant completed and entered onto GCIC.
  • Missing Person – Radford St. Complaint advise her 16-year-old son ran away from home. Complainant advised her son has been missing since 27 January 2020 after yesterday’s law enforcement contact.
  • Agency Assist – Tanglewood Dr. Male subject fell out of his wheelchair, turned over to EMS. All ok.
