The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 4 – 11, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suspicious vehicle – HWY 78 at W Spring Street in reference in reference to a Nissan failing to maintain lane. A Traffic stop was conducted, and the female driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence – drugs.
Scam – South Broad St -Complainant called in reference to Tanglewood Dr, a residence they manage through Atlanta Home Connections, complainant stated a named person is scamming $75.00 from people as an “Application Fee.” Report taken.
Lost Item – West Spring Street (Family Dollar) -Complainant called in reference to reporting his wallet lost.
Juvenile Complaint – South Broad St -Juvenile on location panhandling for money. Probation was notified.
Child Custody – W Spring St Subject not receiving his daughter from his ex-wife as court ordered. report taken.
Traffic Offense/Chase – W Spring St & Pinecrest Dr. Reference Blue Ford Fusion for running stop sign, subject fled from stop on foot. Walton County Sheriff’s Office K9 lost track. Subject identified and warrants taken.
Suspicious Person – Pinecrest Dr. Subject from above traffic stop from above being seen walking out of the wood line. Upon officers’ arrival, he fled inside a residence. Brown located and taken into custody.
Dispute – Green St. Reference to Two parties disputing over childcare. No violence alleged by either party. Remedies advised.
Prowler – Gliding Ln in reference to Ronald Scott seeing shadows in his back yard, area checked no contact.
Suspicious Person – W Spring Subject on location sleeping in the bathroom, he was made to leave.
Dispute – Tanglewood Dr. Reference to Two parties disputing. No dispute had taken place, One was gone in another’s vehicle. He was located and arrested for driving without a license, DUI, Fleeing and Alluding.
Reckless Vehicle – N Broad Street (Golden Pantry): In reference to a vehicle passing in a no passing zone traveling at a high rate of speed, final stop was at Friendship Church Rd in the county; the driver was arrested for driving under the influence and cited for passing in a no passing zone. Report made.
