MPD Reports: Woman injured during altercation with daughter, food provided by church to family in need

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 14 – 21, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Agency Assist – Piedmont Walton -ER staff stated a female subject came into the ER intoxicated stating she had been assaulted. ER Staff requested assistance in locating the address she was assaulted at. The location of the residence was obtained and turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Burglary – Walker Dr. Complainant stated while at the hospital someone broke into her house. At this time, $900 in cash along with medication was the only thing taken from the home.
  • EMS Assist – S. Broad St.  – Mother complained of pain in her tail bone from an earlier altercation with her daughter. Mother was transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS
  • Traffic Stop – Spring St. and Broad St.: Two subjects stopped for not registration tag attached to vehicle, arrested for possession of marijuana less an ounce. Received City ordinance violations and transported to Walton County jail.
  • Agency Assist – Breedlove Dr. -EMS requested MPD for forced entry into an apartment after they received a medical call with an elderly female on the floor and unable to move, with unknown injuries causing bleeding. The door was forced open after multiple attempts to search for a hideaway key. Contact made with property manager about having a maintenance person repair the door. Report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Ash Lane in reference to 14-year-old verbally disputing with her grandmother and refusing to go to school. Minor was escorted to school voluntarily and turned over to the staff in reference to altercations with a teacher.
  • Warrant Served – Alcovy St. – State Probation. Ryan Phiel was arrested for a Violation of Probation.
  • Warrant Attempt – Perry St. in reference to Linda Durvin being on location with a Failure to Appear warrant out of MPD. Durvin was arrested, fingerprinted, and released to the Jail without incident.
  • Fraud – MPD Lobby in reference to complainant reporting his Capitol One credit card was used at Walmart. Report taken.
  • Welfare Check -Birch St. in reference to checking on a male subject. The complainant advised there was no food in the residence. The family was provided with food by Faith Baptist Church.
  • DOA – Union St. in reference to Subject at address. CID and Coroner responded.
  • Dispute -Community Ct. at the Boys and Girls Club – In reference to custody dispute between two subjects. Dispute mediated.
  • Traffic Stop – Walton Truck Stop – Subject stopped for traffic violation.  A probable cause search of the vehicle found he and his passenger in possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce. Both were cited and released on copy of their citations.
  • Domestic Dispute – Atha St. – Ref:  Two females having a dispute over property. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – Maple St. – While I was conducting an area check, I observed Misty Michael walking through the front yard. I had prior knowledge that Michael had an active warrant for felony probation violation out of WCSO. She was arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail.
