MPD Reports: Woman refuses to leave gas station bathroom, Complaint that girlfriend won’t be quiet

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period April 18 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Person – W. Spring St.  Female subject was in the restroom of the Marathon for approximately three hours. She was asked multiple times by staff to leave the business. She refused to leave and was placed under arrest for loitering and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Flag Down – E. Church St. Robert Windsor wanted to inform MPD that two white males in a blue Monte Carlo around 0800 hours were looking into the windows of a residence. No further information was available.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – Quality Foods in reference to two black females shoplifting a box of Certo. The subjects were gone on arrival. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 11. Reference a motorcycle driving erratic. Officer assisted County Deputy on a traffic stop with the suspected bike. All was 10-4
  • Warrant Service – Harris St. in reference to Lamarcus Jackson with an active felony probation warrant for his arrest out of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The subject was located and taken into custody without incident.
  • Traffic Stop – E. Church St. at Colley Street. A vehicle stopped for multiple violations. The passenger was charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce and released on copy of the citation. The driver was released on warnings.
  • Juvenile Problem – Double Springs Church Rd. at Foothills – in reference to a juvenile attempting to leave school without permission, causing a scene. The juvenile charged with obstruction and disruption of public school. Sent home with mother
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Harris St. – Caller stated that a black male in a silver Honda Civic tried to grab her 14-year-old daughter. Vehicle made a left onto East Church St. Conducted an area check no contact.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. at Walmart – In reference to a white male stealing a TV and baby wipes.  Subject arrested after follow-up at S. Madison Ave.
  • Shoplifting – E. Spring St. at The Short Stop – Three people were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings after one of them attempted to shoplift drinks and candy bars.
  • Dispute – Old Mill Pt. – Complainant stated her boyfriend had struck her in the face during a dispute. No visible marks were seen, the boyfriend was stopped by two officers, who stated that the complainant had struck him. Parties were separated report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint – King Street in reference to (missing juvenile) being on location. The subject was transported to the Campton Restaurant and turned over to his father. The supplemental report  was added.
  • Dispute – E. Spring St. – Popeyes in reference to two subjects disputing. The situation was mediated. One was issued a trespass warning. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – Tanglewood Dr. in reference to two subjects being in an altercation. One subject had visible marks from the altercation. Samanthy Vinson was placed under arrest for family violence – battery and was transported to the Walton County Jail. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – S. Broad St. – Wells Fargo in reference to two B/M’s asking for money in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the subjects. They were advised to leave the location and not to ask people for money.
  • Wanted Person – W. Spring St. – Home Depot in reference to Randy Grindle in the area with a felony probation violation warrant. Grindle was arrested in the Walmart parking lot.
  • Suspicious Person – New Lacy – Grandmother and grandchildren stated they observed a named subject walking down the roadway in an intoxicated condition and possibly urinated behind a trash can.  Contact was made with Mr. Williams and citation issued for public drunk.  He was turned over to a sober party.
  • Dispute – Ash St. – Complainant called because he wanted his girlfriend to be quiet. While attempting to gather information the subject refused to identify herself and walked away. She was tased and resisted arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Transport – Monroe Police Department: Nathaniel Neal arrested for Sexual Battery.
  • Dispute – Tanglewood Drive – In reference to a dispute between neighbors over children which lead to a physical altercation. Both parties cited with disorderly conduct.
  • Burglary Attempt – Harris St.: Reference attempted forced entry to a side entry door. Report taken, extra patrol for the remainder.
