Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts will have another Sip and Paint evening on Fri. Dec 18th from 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m.
“We will have a fun evening of painting, encouraging, talking, and lots of laughter. You may start out as strangers but by the end of the evening you do not leave feeling that way. Art has a way of bringing people together,” said Donna Coffman, education board chair with MWCA.
In keeping with the season, the painting will be a whimsical Christmas Elf.
“It is fun and festive and not as difficult as some of the other floral paintings have been, Coffman said. “I always encourage you to make the painting yours, so this particular painting can be in different colors if you would like, we can paint a word on it like Joy, or Merry Christmas or Noel….you can add flowers to the hat…whatever you choose. You are the artist. I am just giving you a place to start and instruction along the way.
