If your taste is seafood and wings with a Cajun Asian flavor, then you’re in for a treat. Red Crawfish from Lawrenceville has just opened a second location in the Loganville area of Gwinnett County. Sept. 1 was opening day for Red Crawfish Seafood & Wings at 534 Athens Highway, Loganville – next to Frontera in the Atmosphere center.
“This is our second location. Our first location is right in front of Discover Mill Mall,” said owner Chen Tsay. “I know the owner of this shopping center and when she said this space had become available, she asked me. And when we came to Loganville, we found the people here are so so friendly and nice, so we decided to give it a shot.”
Tsay said the Lawrenceville restaurant has been open for almost six years now. The menu is the same and they have developed some specialties for which they have become well known.
“Our specialty is the low country boil, it’s got the shrimp and everything. It’s kind of like Cajun Creole, but then it’s got a little Asian flair to it – so it’s not completely Cajun – we add more seasoning into ours – and we use only fresh ingredients,” Tsay said. “Even the lobsters on our menu, those are live lobsters. We keep them in the live lobster tank.”
The Red Crawfish Seafood and Wings restaurant serves varying levels of “hot,” even with their wings. You can order anything from plain, Buffalo Sauce, Sweet and spicy and more – all the way up to Insanity sauce, which you order at your own risk!
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays! There is a bar and several television screens so you’re invited to drop in and watch the game tonight. The Falcons take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener. Kickoff is at 8:20 p.m.
