New Kcalabash restaurant in Monroe invites community to help in school supply drive

Drop in with school supplies and earn a chance to win lunch or dinner for two

The new Kcalabash restaurant in Monroe is asking the community to help it prepare local students to return to classrooms next week. Residents are asked to drop off school supplies for the restaurant’s first annual Back to School backpack drive. The restaurant is collecting between now and July 27, 2019 and each donation will earn entry into a raffle for a lunch or dinner for two. Supplies needed are listed on the flyer below.

The Kcalabash Restaurant recently opened at 407 N Broad in Monroe and offers a fresh and varied menu with items such as wings (with an interesting selection that includes Jerk Reggae or curry wings), salads, breakfast items and specialty items such as oxtail and roti.

Drop in to get a taste of the cuisine with some school supplies to help send students back to school well prepared next week and earn a chance for dinner or lunch for two.
