A Little India, a new restaurant opening this week in Monroe, is bringing a taste of Indian cuisine to the local area.
A ribbon-cutting and grand opening are planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. According to social media posts by A.J. Ravi, the restaurant will offer “authentic Indian flavors, fresh ingredients, amazing variety and food prepared with care.”
Indian cuisine is known for its flavorful and sometimes spicy dishes, with A Little India offering options ranging from mild and medium to hot and spicy.
“It is our true privilege to have you with us for our grand opening. Let us take you on a culinary journey through the rich spices and flavors of our homeland,” Ravi notes in the event invitation. “Good food satisfies the stomach, but shared food satisfies the soul.”
The restaurant is located at 407 N. Broad St. in Monroe. The grand opening celebration Wednesday will run from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 20% discount offered during the grand opening and on Thursday, Aug. 27.
Following the grand opening, regular restaurant hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
