Restaurants headed for Loganville this year

There are two new restaurants at various stages of construction in the city of Loganville. One that the community has been eagerly awaiting is Panera Bread, which is under construction at 185 Athens Highway (across from Sonic).

“It is ‘ready to permit,’ said Janice Tribble, chairperson of the Loganville Planning and Development Board, going to say another restaurant headed this way is also now under construction.

“At 205 Athens Highway – Panda Express has already got their first submittal under review,” she said. The location is in the Gwinnett County side of the city, across from Aldi, according to a google map search.

According to the Panda Express website, the restaurant began in California in 1983 and 24 years later, in 2007, it opened it’s 1000th restaurant. By 2011, its food could be found internationally.

Panda Express promises to deliver “an exceptional Asian dining experience – From our world famous Orange Chicken to our health-minded Wok Smart™ selections, Panda Express defines American Chinese cuisine with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Freshly prepared. Every day.”

“And if you haven’t already eaten at Firehouse Subs, which is now open, you need to. The food is wonderful,” Tribble said.
