District 1 Commissioner Bo Warren was sworn in and took his seat on the Walton County Board of Commissioners at the start of the June County Commission meeting Tuesday. With his family present, Municipal Judge Bruce Wright administered the Oath of Office.

Warren replaces District 1 Commissioner Tommy Stringer who passed away on Feb. 17 of this year during his term of office. Warren received 793 votes in the Primary last month, giving him 55.85 percent of the vote and enabling him to win without a runoff. With no Democratic challenge in November, Warren will finish out the remainder of Stringer’s term and then begin a full term in January.
