SUMMER ART EXPLORATION FOR KIDS!!
In this newsletter we focus on kids.  You’ll learn about:

  • Summer ART Camp: Galaxy Gallery!!
  • Kitchen Art and Science
  • Updates on Kids’ Weekly/Monthly Classes
  • Private Artful Parties!

Summer ART Camp
We offer FIVE weeks of camp in June and July for you to choose from. Attend one or attend them all!  🙂

Mixed Media Camps are age-appropriate for ages 5 – 8 and 9 – 12. Kids will be exposed to different forms of art at each camp, taught by experienced art teachers. These camps feature projects that will expand your child’s artistic abilities!

  • MIXED MEDIA CAMPS during these weeks will have a space theme:  Galaxy Gallery!:
    • June 10 – 14
    • June 24 – 28
    • July 8 – 12
    • July 22 – 26

We also offer one week of CLAY CAMP for ages 9 – 14.

  • CLAY CAMP:
    • June 17 – 21

ALL Camps are $135 per week for members; $145 per week for non-members.  We ask that you sign up at least 5 days in advance of each camp to give our teachers time to prepare.

KITCHEN ART & SCIENCE with Robin Humphrey
Tuesdays in JUNE AND JULY (no 6/18 or 7/4!) from 11:00 – 12:30Join science teacher/artist Miss Robin (think artistic mad scientist!) on an art and science exploration for kids!Kids of ALL ages (ages 8+ can participate without a parent present; younger ages will have a fun “Mommy & Me” time).

Each workshop will include arts and crafts, a little science and something fun to eat or drink (3 or so projects) – all made in class. These are projects you can replicate at home, too, for even more fun! Pick and choose when you want to come.

EASY – Drop in class – pay at the time of class!  $14 per workshop you take.
Here are the workshops planned for June:

  • Tuesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 6Salt Dough Moonrocks and more!
  • Tuesday, June 11 and Thursday, June 13: Alien Slime and more!
  • Thursday, June 20: Space Finger Painting and more!
  • Tuesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 27: Astronaut Ice Cream and more!
SUMMER UPDATES FOR WEEKLY KIDS CLASSES
NO PAINT AND PIZZA PARTY for June.  The next PPP will be Saturday, July 6 from 12 – 2.  Email Donna for more info and to register and pay.

POTTERY CLASSES continue through the summer, with a break in July.  Email Rebecca to register and pay for kids pottery classes held Wednesdays at 4:45.

HIGH SCHOOL student art classes also continue.  Email Maria to register and pay for these classes held on Thursdays from 4 – 6 pm.

ARTFUL PARTIES
Did you know we can host a custom ARTFUL PARTY for any age — kids and adults!   For example, the birthday boy shown above wanted to paint a fox — so Miss Donna created this fun painting just for his party.Contact Donna or check out our ARTFUL PARTY page!

Our next Volunteer Orientation is Saturday, June 8 at 1pm.  You don’t have to be an artist to volunteer.  Help is needed in many ways!
