Newton County Sheriff’s Office seek information regarding body found in Oxford on Saturday

Newton County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any information regarding the body of a woman who was found Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, in the 200 block of Mt. Tabor Road in Oxford, Ga. to please contact them. She has been identified as Kelly Marshall, 27, of Oxford.

Sgt. Cortney Morrison of NCSO said that, per Newton County coroner Tommy Davis, the body has been transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy in order to determine cause and manner of death.

“This case has been assigned to a team of investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division as this incident is currently under investigation,” Morrison said. “As new, factual information is obtained, it will be released.”
