Edward “Ed” R. Williams, Jr. age 80 of Loganville, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruby Williams, brothers, Jimmy and Jackie Williams. Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Williams; sons, Toby Williams and Susan, Joe Williams and Angie and Jim Adcock and Lori; sister, Diane Gordon and Jerry; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ed was a graduate of O’Keefe High School in Atlanta and enjoyed all his years after High School being a part of the O’Keefe High Alumni group. He was retired after 34 years with Halpern Corp, where he was superintendent of residential home construction. Mr. Williams was an avid golfer and enjoyed all things his boys and grandchildren were involved in. Mr. Williams enjoyed going to the Varsity in Atlanta with his wife, Carolyn where they met and eventually married in 1955.
The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Edward Ralph Williams, Jr. will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Interment will at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
