Audrey M. Searcy, age 92 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, with Dr. Frank Cox officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, NC. Mrs. Searcy retired from Southern Bell after 25 years of service. She was a member of North Metro Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gladston Searcy; daughter, Lynn Searcy; and sister, Genevieve Franklin. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda & David Shields, Fletcher, NC; Mary Sue & Grant Wallis, Monroe, GA; sisters, Irene Harwood, Weaverville, NC; Ann Reagan, Canton, NC; brother, Bob Nelon, Waynesville, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Wallis and Joy Favara.
