Dalton Pierce McClure, age 17 of Loganville where he was a junior at Walnut Grove High School, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019. Dalton was a kindhearted, soft-spoken “Simple Man” who was willing to help others any way he could. He was a car enthusiast, Ferrari’s being his favorite. He saw his career in bodywork. He was an avid fan of Texas A & M Aggies and the Boston Celtics, with Kyrie Irving as his favorite player. In the past year, he has had the privilege of seeing both teams play live with his family. Music also played an important role, loving classic rock (especially The Beatles), and it was often on when enjoying time outdoors playing basketball, swimming, and four wheeling. He loved his dogs: Shadow, Daisy, Ollie and Bullet. Family time during holidays brought out the most enjoyment with sports and time with his cousins. He was considered spoiled between his sneaker collection, his dad’s cooking, and his mom’s excessive pampering.
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Maggie McClure and sister, Taylor of Loganville; grandmother, Joan Mahoney of Loganville; grandparents John and Margaret Sokoloski of Nanticoke, PA; and his aunts and uncles:Greg Mahoney of Stamford, CT; Pam Pennington of New Market, MD; John McClure, husband of Angelika, of Westerville, OH; Paula Housenick, wife of Tom, Shickshinny, PA; Lisa Czapracki of Coatesville, PA; Steven Batt, husband of Tracey, Winder, GA. He has 10 cousins.
He was predeceased by his great grandparents William and Margaret Annick of Scranton, PA; Mary and Mike Maransky of Sweet Valley, PA; Isabel and John Pierce McClure (Dalton’s namesake) of Shickshinny, PA; and grandfathers, Paul Mahoney of Scranton, PA and Jack McClure of Shickshinny, PA.
