Diane (Cates) Clay, age 78 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Diane worked for Waffle House for nearly 30 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Clay; daughter, Robin Clay; parents, Huben and Ruth (Swanson) Cates; siblings, Richard Cates, Don Cates, Sam Cates, and Linda Johns. Diane is survived by her daughter, Lisa Johnston; son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Tori Clay; grandchildren, Tasha and Shawn Morris, Brandi Hirko, and Justin Clay; great grandchildren, Alyssa Morris, Logan Kirkland, and Lukus Kirkland; brothers, Jerry Cates and Jim Cates; special adopted family members, Jarome and Raven Kirkland, Ephraim Kirkland, John Oliver Kirkland, Griffin Kirkland, and Elijah Kirkland; numerous family and friends.
