Frank Langston Darsey Jr. was welcomed into his eternal home in heaven on January 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. His wit, his servant’s heart, his deep love for Jesus, and his devotion to his family are just a few of the many reasons he will be greatly missed.
Frank lived a life marked by quiet faithfulness, humility, and service to others. He leaves behind an amazing legacy of integrity, generosity, and love that will continue through the many lives he touched.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) from 1965 to 1967. Following his military service, he dedicated nearly 38 years of his life to General Motors, retiring in 2006. He took great pride in his work and valued the satisfaction that comes from a job well done.
A man of strong faith, Frank was a faithful member of Loganville Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He served the church quietly and consistently, always willing to help wherever he was needed. His faith was not just something he professed, but something he lived out daily through acts of service and kindness.
Frank is survived by his loving children, Kimberly (Darrell) Johnson of Braselton, Georgia, Trent (Sabrina) Darsey of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Julianne (Glenn) Yancey of Boswick, Georgia. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Lindsey (Garrett) Addison, Cayley (Caleb) Merritt, Mason (Naomi) Yancey, Dawson Yancey, Leilani Lopez, and Chloe Darsey; a cherished great-grandfather to Tripp Addison; his brother, Robert (Sybil) Darsey of Piedmont, Alabama; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Judy Higgins Darsey; his parents, Frank Langston Darsey Sr. and Sara Wilson Darsey; and his sister, Martha (Bill) Welch of Thomson, Georgia.
Frank will be remembered as a devoted follower of Christ, a loving father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and a man who served others without seeking recognition. His life was a reflection of his faith, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.
The family will receive friends 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Loganville Baptist Church, 132 Church Street, Loganville. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Steve Morse officiating. Interment will be held at Bay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 4170 Bay Creek Church Road, Loganville.
