Kenneth Alvin (Al) Adcock Jr., of Monroe, Georgia went to be with his Creator on December 22, 2020 after a courageous battle with advanced prostate cancer.
He was born to parents, the late Kenneth and Evelyn Adcock, on January 21, 1955. He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Hester Adcock, in 1973. They completed their family with daughters Heather and Hillary.
Al was known as a hard worker. He started off his career in the grocery industry and worked his way up to an estimator in the trucking industry. He worked hard for his family and was an example for all to follow.
Al was also known as a great friend. He was faithful and a favorite to all who knew and loved him. In the dove fields and the briar patches hunting rabbits were some of his favorite spots. He was also known for cooking his famous barbeque and brunswick stew.
Being with his family is what he loved the most. He is survived by his wife, Connie Hester Adcock; his daughters Heather Martin and her husband Jimi; Hillary Meeler and her husband Marc; four grandchildren James Wesley and Brooks Martin and Chloe and Anna Belle Meeler; his sisters Connie and Kenneth Hale, Flonnie and Dale Peters, Peggy Partain and Sammy Parr, and the late Jo McCullers and Rick McCullers; close cousins Richard and Kathy Adcock, Jimmy and Beth Adcock, Greg and Kay Adcock, Lisa and Harold Peters, many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in his memory to Harmony Baptist Church. The family accepted visitors at the Meadows funeral home on Dec. 26. A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. on Dec. 27 at the Harmony Baptist Church.
