
We are saddened to announce the passing of Michelle Cathleen Link-Rogers on March 6th, 2021.
Michelle (widely known as Shelly) was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Momo, Sister, Aunt and Best Friend. She leaves behind her Husband Rufus; Daughters Jessica, Amber and Emily; her Son Christopher; her Mother Cathy Blount and her Stepfather Johnny Blount Sr.; her Brothers Chris and Chad; As well as her 8 Grandchildren. She proceeds in death by her Father Charlie Link and Grandson William Scott.
Shelly fought a long battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. In 2013, Shelly was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, after going though surgery and multiple rounds of chemo and radiation. Shelly was in remission. March of 2020, Shelly came out of remission. She was diagnosed with metastatic Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. After fighting for a year, her body decided it was time for her to go home.
Shelly was widely known for her laughter and her pure kindness. She would light up a room with her jokes and laughter. Shelly loved spending time with her grandkids and children. Shelly loved Ozzy Osbourne so much, she named her dog after the singer. She had multiple professions throughout her life. From owning the newspaper to selling rain gutters. She has done anything and everything under the sun.
Shelly Rogers will be terribly missed, and she is loved by all. Services will be held at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Loganville. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9th from 5pm-8pm. Chapel Services will be Wednesday, March 10th at 11am. In Lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Greenville South Carolina in Michelle’s name.
