Roger J. Coyne, age 81 of Monroe, passed away on March 11, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:15 PM on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at St. Anna’s Catholic Church, 1401 Alcovy St. Monroe, GA 30655. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens in Monroe.
Roger was retired as a Juvenile Delinquent Counselor in New York for 30 years. He also was a Deputy for Gwinnett County Sheriff Dept. for several years and worked as a mail processor for the United States Post Office. Roger was a member of St. Anna’s Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Sarah (Gallagher) Coyne.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Liz Coyne of Monroe; children, Meghan Coyne & Chris Jackson of Bethlehem, Tara Coyne of Minneapolis, MN.; grandchildren, Sarah Coyne & Max Jackson of Bethlehem. The family will receive friends from 5 PM – 8 PM on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 209 Hammond Drive, Monroe, GA 30655. (770) 267-2594.
