Trilby Jeanne Sawyer Aycock, age 88, of Monroe, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Born August 14, 1932 in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charles Rupert Sawyer and Trilby Gunter Sawyer.
She is survived by her son, David Aycock of Monroe, GA. Her daughter in law, Eva Aycock of Monroe, GA. Her Grandson, Tanner Aycock of Social Circle, GA, and her two granddaughters, Victoria Aycock and Trinity Aycock of Monroe, GA.
Jeanne was a Graduate of the University of Georgia and was a retired Educator with DeKalb County. She was an active alumni of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Jeanne also enjoyed many activities with her Questors Antique Group and was active in all social aspects of her Church, St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.
Jeanne grew up in the Morningside area of Atlanta, GA and relocated to Monroe, GA in 2012 with her family. She quickly plugged in to activities at her new Church, St. Alban’s Episcopal where she met many lifelong friends. She moved into Great Oaks Assisted Living in 2019 where she was able to continue social activities despite her limitations from a stroke.
There was never a dull moment when she was around! She was tough, kind, sassy, classy, selfless, and most of all one of the most loving women you would ever know.
Family will be receiving friends at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2021 with Her Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3:00 PM, in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. The Celebration of Life will be officiated by Father John Winters of St. Albans Episcopal Church.
