Obituary and funeral service: Vickie Crenshaw Cartrette, 61, of Monroe

Vickie Crenshaw Cartrette, age 61 of Monroe, passed away on February 22, 2021. She was born on October 10, 1959, to the late John Crenshaw and the late Sylvia Mitchell Crenshaw.  

Surviving members of her family are husband, Dale Cartrette; daughters and sons-in-law, Brittany and Adam Connelly, Amber and Waylon McDaniel; son, Brandon Cartrette; sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa Crenshaw, Gaye and Mark Lowe; brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Cindy Crenshaw; grandchildren, William, Judson, Ashby, Ava Grace, Callie, Caden, Emma.

Vickie was born and raised in Monroe and grew up in Mt. Vernon. She was a wild child of the 70s who always kept her parents and siblings on their toes. Vickie was a devoted wife for over 42 years. She was a beloved Mimi, mother, sister, and friend. She touched so many lives in her short time on this earth. She was a free spirit who loved life and enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by her family. She will surely be missed but never forgotten.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Luke Gibson officiating. Interment will follow to Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
