Obituary and funeral service: Wayne Franklin Sheppard, 68, of Loganville

Wayne Franklin Sheppard, 68 yrs. old, of Loganville, Georgia passed on to his heavenly home on February 1, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital due to complications from Covid-19. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 17, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eloise Sheppard and sister, Cyndi Degnan.

Wayne is survived by the love of his life, Sarah, with whom he was married to for over 30 years. His brother, Warren Sheppard (wife Paula) of Cumming, Ga., Steve Moon (wife Tonya & sister Jan) Children, Samantha Christian of Loganville, GA, Gary Robinson (wife Michelle) of Newborn, GA, Candice Robinson of Monroe, GA, and Roxanne Kelly (husband Scott) of Jackson, GA. Grandchildren; Chloe, Hailey, Tyler, Alissa, Leah, Brandy, and TJ. Great-grandchildren; Brinley, Brielle, Hunter, Cody, Logan, & Jesse; Great-great-grandchildren; Samuel and Lucas; Along with several Aunts, Uncles and cousins whom he loved dearly. 

Wayne graduated from Fulton High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Stephens Graphics after 30 years of service. Wayne was a long-time member of the Conyers Church of God where he served many faithful years on the board. He loved to spend time with his family, Falcons football, Braves baseball, Georgia Bulldogs and taking cruises. He also loved sharing the gospel and praying for people. He loved visiting the Shut-Ins.

Due to Covid-19 the funeral will be for family only, Thursday February 4th at 11:00am at the Conyers Church of God. (Masks are required, social distancing and please do not hug) View the service via live stream at Conyers Church of God Website.

He will be buried at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Due to Covid-19 there will not be a graveside service. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Conyers Church of God (1825 GA-138 NE, Conyers, GA 30013) that he served and loved.
