Annie “Ruth” Denton, age 97 of Loganville, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Minister Harold Savage will officiate. Ruth was born in Tennessee to Clarence and Flora Fox Frizzell and she was one of three children, the middle sibling, raised on a farm, a country girl. Ruth was a long-time member of the Snellville Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife and mother and really enjoyed being in charge of her household and family. She was an excellent cook and had a remarkable green thumb. Family and Faith meant everything to Ruth. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack L. Denton Sr.; sister, Lucy Caldwell and son-in-law, Cecil Wayne Fox. Mrs. Denton is survived by her daughter, Sandra Fox of Loganville; son and daughter-in-law, Jack & Pam Denton of Snellville; grandchildren, Melissa Fox White (Robert), Kelly Denton Young (Patrick), Amanda Denton Livermont (Levi) and Tiffany Denton Stafford (Will); great-grandchildren, Jessica, Noah, Denton, Elanor, Hannah, Charlotte, and Tucker; step-great-grandchild, Ryan; brother, George “Buck” Wayne Frizzell; her very special nephew, Jackie McInturff; nieces & nephews, Judy Officer, Diane Frost and Steve Frizzell.
