Obituary and funeral services: Benny Blair, 80, of Loganville

Benny Blair, age 80, died at his home on the morning of Thursday, November 30, 2017 with his loving daughter, Kelly, at his side. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home.
A resident of Loganville, GA for over 10 years, Benny was known as “Big Daddy” to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A veteran of the US Army, an accountant who owned his own firm and an active member of the Mountain Park Masonic Lodge, Benny was intelligent, kind-hearted, funny and generous. He was quick to share his knowledge, tell a story and state his opinion, at the same time, he always asked questions and wanted to learn from others. Though he struggled with illness and endured multiple hospital stays and surgeries over the past few years, he continued to stay positive, to believe in the power of prayer, and to make the most of every day. Benny is survived by his four children, Mary, David, Kelly and Terry; brother, Reginald; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and countless friends. He will be missed greatly by everyone that knew him — as one of his friends said, “Big Daddy left footprints on many hearts.”
