Cathy Spivey, age 61, of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Zion Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA. Rev. Scott Richardson and Rev. Lanny Myers will officiate. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.Cathy was retired from the Walton County Board of Education as an Executive Assistant. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Stone Mountain and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Nannie Lou Jenkins Mitchell and she is survived by her loving Husband of 43 years Stephen Spivey of Monroe; Sons & Daughters-in-law: Brian & Heather Spivey of Athens and Michael & Emily Spivey of Jefferson; Grandchildren: Olivia Grace Spivey; Sisters & Brother-in-law: Jean Mitchell of Monroe and Linda & Wayne Johnson of Social Circle; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law: Alan & Kay Sims of Monroe; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
