Obituary and funeral services: Chealse La’Rue Lockart, 17, of Good Hope

Chealse La’Rue Lockhart, age 17 of Good Hope, died on October 31, 2018. She was born in Winder, GA on June 25, 2001, to Britni Stephens and Christopher Lockhart. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, the late Patricia Price, and her great-grandfather, the late Earl Stephens.

Surviving members of her family are: Mother, Britni Stephens of Good Hope; Father Christopher Lockhart of Monroe; Sister, Kinsley Nix of Good Hope; Brothers, Chase Lockhart and Benjamin Lockhart, both of Good Hope; Grandparents, Mike and Sandy McMahon of Good Hope, Tony and Maya Stephens of Monroe, and Mike Price of Monroe; Great Grandparents, Ray and Patsy Fuller of Monroe, John and Jean Hollis of Monroe, Mary Stephens of Monroe; Aunts andUncles, Tyler Stephens, Tori Stephens, Damien and Ashley Price, and Devin Price; Great Aunts and Uncles, Dennis and Shelli Johnson, Josh Stephens, and Jessica Kraft; Cousins, Dusten and Madeline Johnson, Luke Johnson, Lilly Johnson and fiance’ Dean Sheldon, Jocelyn Stephens, Paisley Duncan, and Gab Price.

Chealse enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Maxwell Roberson. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and family especially her best friend, Kinsley, her sister. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a great laugh, she was fun to be around. She loved helping the homeless. She was a senior in high school. She loved playing softball, golf, and cheerleading. She also loved listening to music. She had a great big loving family and a lot of friends that loved her very much. She will be missed by her family, friends and the community.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Scroggs officiating. Entombment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5th at Meadows Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
