Obituary and funeral services: Clara Palmer, 80, of Monroe

Clara Palmer of Monroe passed away on January 6, 2019, at the age of 80. She was born in Jefferson, GA on February 28, 1938, to the late Wilburn Presley and the late Ruth Evelyn McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Raymond Larry Palmer.

Mrs. Palmer is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Anne and Randy Holliday of Monroe, Elaine Ray of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jo Nell Palmer of Monroe; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Donald Edge of Flowery Branch, GA, Wilma Dalton of Athens, GA; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Conner, Joey Holliday, and Keith Presley officiating. Interment will follow to Delay Cemetery. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
