Denise Adele Tonelli, age 66 of Loganville, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Corinth Christian Church in Loganville. Minister Don Hardison will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM at the Church. Following the Service, the family will be holding a reception at their home.
Everyone who knew Denise, knew her love of life, her infectious laughter, and her smile that lit up a room. She didn’t know a stranger. In fact, even if you were a new acquaintance, she would make you an afghan–especially if she learned that a baby was on the way or your son or daughter was going off to college! She was like that. If Denise was your friend, you had a friend indeed. Denise was a professional dancer who trained under the guidance of Ron Daniels in Miami, Florida in the early 70’s. She danced internationally and thought she was following her dream. But while in Miami, she met, and not long after, married the love of her life, Rick Tonelli. They moved to Cumming, Georgia where Denise was a dance instructor and helped form the Little Theater there. She sang and danced her way into the hearts of the locals! After moving to Georgia, Rick and Denise established their automotive business in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Denise’s greatest joy was her family. She was a woman with a gift for selfless giving. She had a knack for always choosing the perfect gift, regardless of the occasion! Denise loved America, and our flag. She was there for the greatest joys and deepest sorrows in the lives of those she loved. Denise will always be remembered, always loved, by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Denise leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Richard Tonelli; Son & Daughter-in-law: Craig & Kelly Tonelli of Monroe; Step Daughter & Son-in-law: Christine & Jerald Romano of Plantation, FL; Danish Daughter & Son-in-law: Karin Ipsen & Mogens Mogensen of Copenhagen, Denmark; Grandson: Vincent Tonelli; Step Grandson: Joey Romano; Danish Granddaughter: Mia Wellington.
