Ethel Bennett, age 92 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She is survived by one daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren and their spouses, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Ethel retired from DeKalb County Recorder’s Court as the judge’s executive assistant. Although most of her married life was spent raising her child and keeping their home, she worked part-time at Macy’s, and in the office of Sears downtown. In the early years of their marriage, Ethel was a military wife and lived in Germany for two years. She was an active member of Belvedere Methodist Church for many years and enjoyed visiting the shut-ins. Ethel was a loving wife and mother, never met a stranger, and made friends easily.
The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Ethel Bennett will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
