Obituary and funeral services: Eva Smith, 63, of Monroe

Eva Smith, age 63 of Monroe, died on February 15, 2018. She was born in Moultrie, GA on October 16, 1954 to the late Margaret Ema Davis Biggs and the late Willie Clyde Biggs. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Jim Mack Fender, three sisters, and two brother.

Mrs. Smith not only devoted her life to her family but to the cause behind the organization of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) in Walton County and surrounding communities.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Smith, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Azeita Taylor of Copperas Cove, Texas, Leon and Michelle Prather of Monroe, Larry “Bradley” Smith, Jr. of Monroe; grandchildren, Brittany Taylor, Courtney Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Heaven Taylor, James Taylor, Serenity Taylor, Scarlet Denny, Stephanie Prather, Austin and Hunter Prather; great grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Brynlee Taylor, Aria Rae Denny, and Kyler Prather.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Monroe Church of God with Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Interment follows at Eastview Cemetery.
