Francis A. (Brother) Roberts, age 90, of Good Hope, passed away on May 28, 2019. He was born on November 25, 1928 in Good Hope to the late James Monroe Roberts and the late Frances Malcom Roberts. He was preceded in death by his brother, the late James Roberts.
Mr. Roberts spent his career in the U.S. military, and served in both Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1972. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Elizabeth Wilkie Roberts of Good Hope; Daughters, Debbie Permar of Madison, Cathy Gleaton of Monroe, and Linda May of Colbert; Sister, Rose New of Monroe; Brother, Richard Roberts of Good Hope; and six grandchildren as well as a large extended family.
Visitation will be at Meadows Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Joshua Roberts officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Good Hope Christian Church Cemetery.
