Obituary and funeral services: Glenda Louise Snipes Corbin, 83, of Loganville

Glenda Louise Snipes Corbin, age 83, passed away peacefully at Southern Plantation Assisted Living Community in Loganville, GA on Thursday, October 4, 2018.
Born on March 6, 1935, Glenda retired from DeKalb County Board of Education and was a member of Loganville Baptist Church. Glenda is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby L. Corbin; her four children: Bobby (Carrilyn) Corbin, Jr. of Cumming, GA; Terri (Jerry) Rauschenberg of Loganville, GA; Kathryn Dinsmore of Johns Creek, GA; and Charles David Corbin of Copper Center, AK; Lovingly known as “Nanny” to her four granddaughters: Jennifer Renee (Rob) Mason, Kimberly Hope (Christopher) Russell, Ashley Marie (Britt) Carr, and Miranda Elizabeth Corbin, as well as her four great-grandchildren: Landon Scott Russell, Bronson Scott Russell, Benjamin Corbin Carr, and Kate Caroline Carr. Glenda is also survived by siblings: William “Bill” (Madeline) Snipes of Oxford, AR; Jeannette Horak of Dunedin, FL; and Gloria Ann (Lennart) Lindahl of Jupiter, FL; along with her many nieces and nephews. Glenda was predeceased by her brother Alvis Snipes. Glenda’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible and enjoyed making them laugh. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her and knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
