James E. Futral, age 91 of Loganville, GA, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018. He was born in Griffin, GA, April 28, 1926, to the late Leonard Pierce and Lily Duke Futral. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas L. Jordan, Sr. officiating.
He served in Company A 51st Armored Infantry Battalion, 4th Armored Division in Germany during World War II. He was wounded in action on April 1, 1945. He attended West Georgia Junior College, Mercer University in Macon, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1950 with BBA Accounting.
Mr. Futral is preceded in death by his son, Leonard James Futral, in 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Harvey Futral of Loganville; daughter and son-in-law: Ann & Mickey Langley of Lilburn; Grandsons: Michael Langley, David and Emily Langley, and Zachary Langley, and several nieces and nephews.
