Kenneth Wright, age 81 of Loganville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Kenneth was born on January 31, 1938, to the late Bill and Cordie Wright of St. Pauls, North Carolina. He was one of six children. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Kennedy, and two brothers, Wilber Wright and Leo Wright. Kenneth was a member of Rosebud Baptist Church. He was Chairman of the Building Committee and loved working on different projects at the church. He also enjoyed all the fun trips with the Senior Saints Group. Kenneth was ordained as a Deacon in 1978. Kenneth grew up in St. Pauls, North Carolina and was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 18. He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After being discharged in 1961, he began working at Union Camp Paper Company which later became Smurfit Stone Co. Kenneth was very successful in his career and retired after 36 years of service. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty; his devoted son, Jeffrey; God Grandson, Chandler Ireland; and two sisters, Rachael Carter and Ann Beavers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2019, in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Stancil will officiate. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544.
