Linda Bennett Terry, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2019, due to cancer. She was born March 6, 1940, in Loganville, Georgia to Floy Allgood Bennett and John F. Bennett. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Francis Jo Ann Bennett Gunter and Shirley Blondean Bennett Pahwa. In 1959 at 1st Baptist Church of Tucker, she married James B. Terry, who is survived, and lived in Tucker, GA before moving to Monroe. Linda graduated from Tucker High School in 1958, was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker, and later Victory Baptist Church in Loganville. She worked for the US Forest Service before becoming a full-time mother.
She is survived by her three children – Jay Alan Terry, Jamie Lynn Terry Meuesen, Joy Cecelia Terry Tapia, her six grandchildren – Jessica Murphy, Linda Terry, David Meuesen, Zachary Bays, Vincent Tapia IV, Victor Tapia, and three great-grandchildren – Jayden Terry, Charlotte Murphy, and Claire Murphy; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.
The Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Linda Bennett Terry will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
