James W. “Bill” Puckett, age 79 of Monroe, GA, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024. Bill was a Navy Veteran. He loved classic cars and drag racing from a young age. His passion was working on the race car, spending time at the races with friends and being at the beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hayden and Mary Puckett, sister Rosemary Simonton, brothers Jack and Johnny Puckett. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Ellington Puckett of Monroe, GA; son, Van Puckett of Monroe, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Dwayne Britt of Bishop, GA; grandchildren, Grace and Griffin Britt of Bishop, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Kathy Puckett & Paul and Debora Puckett; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Mark Rogers.
