Mrs. Joyce H. Carter, age 89 of Monroe, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, John Leroy Carter, Sr. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Dr. John & Andrea Carter of Monroe; daughter, Candace Orta of Monroe; daughter & son-in-law, Kelley & Marc Astore of Herndon, VA; grandchildren, Ashley & Jeff Blackstone of Monroe, Luke Carter of Monroe, Whitney & Mark Spain of Cumming, Lane Carter of Monroe, Phillip & Brittany Matthews of Boise, ID, Maggie & Sam Haskell of Atlanta, Clayton Astore of Herndon, VA; as well as 9 great grandchildren.
