Obituary: Lois Dean Queen, 84, of Monroe

Lois Dean Queen of Monroe passed away on March 16, 2018 at the age of 84. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Dean was born in Monroe on July 17, 1933 to the late Lois McElhannon Hendrix and the late Clarence Hendrix. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Queen; sisters, Annie Mae McManus and Francis Balnack.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Almand of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Sandra Smith of Monroe; brothers, Roy Hendrix of Winder, Jimmy Hendrix of Winder; grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor Almand both of Monroe.

A funeral service will be held on March 19, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Saddler officiating. Interment will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
